Welcome to Term 3

Nga mai, haere mai whanau,

I hope you've had a refreshing break and are ready to jump into our Term 3 of learning.  I'm almost ready to go....a few bruises from trying to learn to ski (and falling down some stairs)....a good story to tell though along with some fun photo's for my 'news' on Monday morning......in the meantime, check out the 'perceptual shift ambigram' I've posted below....and can you guess where I was on my holiday from the picture?

I have received a lot of messages through from the library with people with overdue books - these were meant to be returned on the last week of school - please can you check to make sure you don't have any 'stray books' at home.

Please can you also make sure that your tamariki have all the tools they need for their learning for the term.  This should include a ruler, pens and pencils.  Thank you!

An Inspirational Thought Inspired by Dr Seuss

Kia ora whanau, Here is a lovely poem that has been written by an anonymous person in the style of Dr. Suess.  Remember our parody work?  This is an example of this.  Share it with your whanu, I love the message this poem gives, I hope you feel the same.  Here are some ideas for the next two weeks of the school holidays, have some fun with your whanau! And finally, here is a suggested timetable that you may (or may not!) find useful. Finally, look after one another, practise kindness and keep smiling, kia kaha and remember our class mission statement - this is who we are and what we aim for.   Nga mihi nui whanau.   Mrs Salisbury

Together, Room 6 3/4 are rocking this Lockdown Learning!
