Wacky Hair Day

Wacky Hair Day is always a bit of fun.  This year we were raising money for Kids Can - a charitable organisation that works in partnership with 741 low decile schools in NZ to deliver essential items that their students would otherwise go without.  They ensure students are fed, warm and healthy so they can then focus on their learning.

Gymnastics

We recently attending two workshops over two weeks for gymnastics sessions.  We started off by doing some hip hop for a warm up and then learnt some new skills for most, but we also got to see some of our talented students who are natural gymnasts.  Unfortunately the video's are having problems uploading so here are a couple of still shots.

Hockey Skills

Thanks to Taranaki Hockey for sending us the very talented Deb Black to teach hockey skills over the last few weeks.  Despite the weather (and thankful for our multi-use Pohutukawa Centre) we had fun!

Charlie and his Motocross Helmet

Those of us who know Charlie know that he LOVES motocross almost more than he loves his teacher........ Charlie brought his motocross helmet to school to show us.  It was surprisingly big and heavy.  Thanks Charlie!

Oliver at the Field Days

Oliver went to the Field Days on Thursday with his Dad and his Grandad.  This was a really special trip for Oliver as his older brother Jacob did it a few years ago with his Dad and Grandad as well.  He talked to us about the old fashioned tractors with V8 motors in them having races.  He was proud to show us his t-shirt and the band he wore for getting into the Field Days.
Wet lunch days are always a challenging time when we'd much rather be outside running around.  Here's some of the games and activities we play with on wet days.
