An Inspirational Thought Inspired by Dr Seuss

Kia ora whanau, Here is a lovely poem that has been written by an anonymous person in the style of Dr. Suess.  Remember our parody work?  This is an example of this.  Share it with your whanu, I love the message this poem gives, I hope you feel the same.  Here are some ideas for the next two weeks of the school holidays, have some fun with your whanau! And finally, here is a suggested timetable that you may (or may not!) find useful. Finally, look after one another, practise kindness and keep smiling, kia kaha and remember our class mission statement - this is who we are and what we aim for.   Nga mihi nui whanau.   Mrs Salisbury

Team Hui

Every Monday morning we have team Hui - meeting with room Tawa, 6, 7 & 8, followed by a quick game. Can you spot the difference with this mornings Team Hui?

Swimming Sports

We were so lucky with the weather today for our senior swimming sports!  It threatened to rain, but ended up being a very hot afternoon back at school.  Congratulations to all our participants. Crowd Control  Relay Teams

Super Spy

Who could this Super Spy be? He was sneaking up behind groups of students who were demonstrating Oakura School values at morning tea and lunch today - a Super Sleuth indeed!

Beach Clean Up Day

Well it was a wonderful surprise to find very little rubbish on our walk along the beach from the Surf Club to McFarlane Street and  back to school. We obviously live in a community that looks after the environment. Thanks to those parents who came along to help supervise on what was a muggy start to Week 5.
